High Cotton

The girls spent Saturday morning at a local farm pretending to pick cotton and slipping in the muddy pumpkin patch. There was a hayride, a riding mule, and free parking.

The parking was the only free thing, however. Extra pumpkins cost $9.00, extra-large pumpkins cost $15.oo, and there was a 25 cent suggested donation for each cotton bloom picked. I think these farmers may have figured out that farming is hard and tourists are suckers.
