Mardi Gras and More

Last weekend, we met up with some good friends in downtown Mobile, where Abbey and Elizabeth took in their first Mardi Gras parade. The parade was a big hit with the girls, who smiled and clapped for every float and marching band that passed. And Abbey and Elizabeth proved their prowess when it comes to catching parade throws. We came home with beads, moon pies and a stuffed bunny.

Abbey and our friend Jane Ritchie wonder if the parade is ever going to begin, while Elizabeth wastes no opportunity to get her smiling face onto the blog.

We ended an eventful day with a visit to Biloxi, where our friend Eliza Claire and her parents live. Abbey and Elizabeth hit the jackpot finding new toys to play with. Mommy and Daddy wish they could say the same about their visit to the casino.

We wrapped up the weekend at one of our favorite restauraunts, which was another opportunity for Abbey and Elizabeth to climb, squirm and do all things toddler.

At least it made for some interesting scenery and more pics for the blog. We can't wait for our next trip to Mardi Gras.
