More Christmas Adventures

We wrapped up our Christmas visit in Florida by taking Abbey, Elizabeth, Josh and Molly to a local park, where they enjoyed the swings and playground equipment. It was a sunny 80 degrees. Not exactly a white Christmas, but it was nice.

We also visited a place called the Bat House, which is a bat habitat on the University of Florida campus. People gather there each night at dusk (particularly when it's warm out) to watch the bats fly out in droves. There are tens of thousands of bats (one account even said 100,000 plus) that live here and help control the insect population in the area. It's too bad they can't do anything about the Gators!
